Our year is progressing along, with two Pack Events completed. The Fall Campout at Avondale Scout Reservation brought nice weather and a scenic surroundings. Approximately 90 campers were in attendance.

We still need those Popcorn Sale Orders! There is just over a month left to sell, we are making a push to reach our goal of $75 per Cub.

Our next Pack Event is the Fall Family Day at Fairview-Riverside State Park in Madisonville. We will be at the park from 9am to 3pm. Come for the day or as much time as you wish. We will provide a BBQ lunch for the Cubs and their families in the Pavilion. Come play games, enjoy fishing, and enjoy a relaxing day with family and friends on the banks of the Tchefuncte. To learn more about Fairview-Riverside, visit the State Park's web site. Click on "Parks" and "Fairview-Riverside State Park".

FINALLY SOME PHOTOS! Raingutter Regatta pictures and video clips of races are here. The video is a first! Thanks to Frank Chappetta and Chris Rowley for snapping and filming.

The Raingutter Regatta held yesterday was a competition fit for the high seas. Fifty-eight Cubs came out to compete with their handmade craft and lungs on a HOT and later rainy afternoon. A good time was had by all, producing the following winners: First Place, Madison Tillery; Second Place, Jack Tufts; Third Place, Spencer Didriksen; Best Weblos boat, Robert Hills; Best Bear, Christian Soler, Best Wolf, Miles Rouen, Best Tiger Cub boat, Paul Cousins; Most Realistic, Marcel Provensal, Most Outrageous, Gage Holcomb; and Most Original boat, Deen Parke.

Many thanks to the parents that made the event happen - Our anonymous award judges, Janet McGrew, Newell Normand, Lori Ryan, Cassandra Hyer, Patrick Duckworth, Bill Provensal, Doug Downing, Donna Frank, Wendy Duckworth, Frank Chappetta, and Charlie Ward.

Information regarding the all Campout on October 12th will be posted shortly, as will photos of the event.

Welcome Scouts and parents to another year of fun and learning with Pack 24. We have registered twenty Tiger Cubs, and our Pack enrollment stands at 74 boys.

Current information about Pack Events will be available at this site and sent home via Childpost. Den Leaders will do the same with their groups. Photos of Pack Events, Den Leader memos, and useful scouting links can be found on Pack 24's virtual home.

Our first Pack Event, the Raingutter Regatta, will be held September 21st in the school yard. Boat kits will be distributed to the Den Leaders soon.

The beginning of the year is the time all of us need to have our Cubs outfitted with uniforms and books. These supplies are available at the Scout Shop. We have assembled a Uniform Guide for all Cubs in both doc and pdf format.
