is the complete list of Pack 24 activities. The individual Dens will
meet on other occasions as well, and those activities can be found on
the Dens' pages.

compared to the Stuart Hall master schedule for conflicts. The events are
subject to change as necessary.
2001
August
20 (Mon)
8:00am - Cub Scout
Presentation (COMPLETED) and welcome at school meeting in chapel. Students only.
7:00 - 8:00pm - Annual
Roundup in Cafeteria. (COMPLETED)
First Grade and new Cub parents, come find out more about scouting and get
signed up! Pack 24 leaders will be on hand to answer any questions you
may have. NOTE: parents of re-enrolling Scouts do not need to
attend. A packet will be sent to you through Childpost.
September
22-23 (Sat/Sun)
Overnight Outing #1 -
Louisiana Nature and Science Center. (COMPLETED)
Details coming soon.
Estimated cost of $25 per Cub, which includes
breakfast and patch. Enjoy cool, bug-free sleeping.
October
20 (Sat)
Rocket Race- 10am-2pm -
(COMPLETED) Cubs build and race miniature
band-powered rockets in the
school yard. Prizes for the winners! Pack 24 provides the rocket kits,
parents enjoy building it with the boys.
November
10 (Sat) (COMPLETED)
Swamp Tour &
Family Day - 9am - 3pm
- Cubs & their families cruise the swamps. BBQ lunch provided by
the Pack. Fishing available! Swamp Tour at 11:30 am, $6 per person.
December
8 (Sat) (COMPLETED)
Annual "Sing for
your Supper" and Uniform Inspection - 12 Noon - 2 pm.
Rock 'N Bowl, 4133 S. Carrollton Ave. End of the semester party for
Scouts, tied in with caroling for Nursing home residents. Come
directly to Rock 'N Bowl
December
15 (Sat) (COMPLETED)
Annual "Sing for
your Supper" and Uniform Inspection - 10 am - 12 Noon. Second
phase of event, caroling for residents of the New Orleans Home &
Rehabilitation Center, 612 Henry Clay Ave. Meet at Stuart Hall for
10:00 am. Full uniform required!
2002
January
12 (Sat) (NOT

Decorate the Pack's
Mardi Gras float - 10am-1pm in the school
cafeteria and/or yard. Let's get our float ready for the upcoming Cub
Parade! A Pack Meeting will be held to present earned awards to boys
that have earned them.
January
19 (Sat) (COMPLETED)
Mardi Gras Parade -
Time TBD. Cubs "mask" in the Scout Parade on Harrison Ave in
Lakeview. Pack 24 theme TBD.
February
3 (Sun) (COMPLETED)
Scout Sunday and Uniform
Inspection. 10:30am Children's Mass at Mater
Dolorosa Church, 8128 Plum St. (corner Carrollton Ave.). Scout procession
and presentation at Mass. Scouts earning religious achievements are
honored.
February
24 (Sun) (COMPLETED)
Annual Pinewood Derby
- 1:00pm at Stuart Hall. Scouts build and race handmade cars.
This year parents will have a special race also! Prizes for the
winners. Pack 24 provides the Cubs with car kits. This is a Scout
tradition and a Pack favorite! Come race on the new track!
March
23-24 (Sat/Sun) (COMPLETED)
Overnight Outing #2 -
Global Wildlife Center. 9:30 am departure time from Stuart Hall
bound for Insta-Gator Ranch & Hatchery, where we will take the
11:00am tour. You may also
travel independently and meet the group at Global Wildlife Center. Includes a
tour (2:00pm) of Global Wildlife Center.
April 20
(Sat) (COMPLETED)
Family Picnic and Kite
Contest - 10am-3pm at Audubon Park Riverview. Cub families enjoy a
day of fun flying kites and outdoor cooking. Awards given for various
kite categories.
May 10
(Fri) (COMPLETED)
Annual Blue and Gold
Banquet - 6:30pm. Pack 24 year-end family dinner where
Scouts receive their final awards and decorations, and where we
recognize the contributions of our many leaders and helpers. This year
we will have a special theme to honor our Cub Moms.
