is the complete list of Pack 24 activities. The individual Dens will
meet on other occasions as well, and those activities can be found on
the Dens' pages.
These activities have been
compared to the Stuart Hall master schedule for conflicts. They are
subject to change if necessary.
2000
August
28 (Mon) (COMPLETED)
8:00am - Cub Scout
Presentation and welcome at school meeting in chapel. Students
only.
7:00 - 8:00pm - Annual
Roundup in Cafeteria. Come find out more about scouting and get
signed up! Pack 24 leaders will be on hand to answer any questions you
may have.
September
16-17 (Sat/Sun) (COMPLETED)
Overnight Outing #1 -
U.S.S. Kidd. Depart 4pm Saturday from school. Return to school
Sunday at 11:30am. Cubs dine and sleep aboard the WWII destroyer U.S.S.
Kidd in Baton Rouge. Limited space, $20 per Cub, which includes a full
breakfast and patch.

Rain Gutter Regatta - 10am-2pm - Cubs build and race miniature homemade sailboats in the
school yard. Prizes for the winners! Pack 24 provides the boat kits. A
photo section has been posted
November

Fall Hike - 9am-3pm
- Bike or walk with the Pack through Fontainebleau State Park in
Mandeville. BBQ lunch included. Maps
are posted for your convenience. Here is the flyer

16 (Sat) (COMPLETED)
Annual "Sing for
your Supper" and Uniform Inspection. Location and time TBA.
Scouts sing and perform Christmas carols for seniors at an uptown
nursing home, followed by a pizza and bowling party at Mid City Lanes.

January
27 (Sat) (COMPLETED)
Annual Pinewood Derby
- 10am-2pm at Stuart Hall. Scouts build and race handmade cars.
This year parents will have a special race also! Prizes for the
winners. Pack 24 provides the Cubs with car kits.

28 (Sun) (COMPLETED)
Annual Pinewood Derby
- 1:30 pm at Stuart Hall. To accommodate a schedule conflict, the
Tiger Cubs will race on Sunday. This should take no more than an
hour.
February
3 (Sat) (COMPLETED)
Decorate the Pack's
Mardi Gras float - 10am-1pm in the school cafeteria. We prep our
entry into the Scout parade the following week!

4 (Sun) (COMPLETED)
Scout Sunday and Uniform
Inspection. 10:30am Children's Mass at Mater
Dolorosa Church, 8128 Plum St. (corner Carrollton Ave.). Scout procession
and presentation at Mass.

10 (Sat) (COMPLETED)
Mardi Gras Parade -
Report for noon, parade starts at 1 pm. Cubs "mask" in the Scout Parade on Harrison Ave in
Lakeview. Pack 24 will be Lego Men.
March
10-11 (Sat/Sun) (COMPLETED)
Overnight Outing #2 -
Camp Salmen. 9 am departure time from Stuart Hall. You may also
travel independently and meet the group at the first I-10 exit in
Mississippi. Buses from Stennis will pick us up from the Mississippi
Welcome Center at 10:30 am, and return us later. We then head out to Camp
Salmen. Trip included in dues, though you will need to provide meals

Family Picnic and Kite
Contest - 10am-3pm at Audubon Park Riverview. Cub families enjoy a
day of fun flying kites and outdoor cooking. Awards given for various
kite categories.

Annual Blue and Gold
Banquet - Time and date TBA. Pack 24 year-end family dinner where
Scouts receive their final awards and decorations, and where we
recognize the contributions of our many leaders and helpers.
